Calcium carbonate

Calcium carbonate: has the chemical formula CaCO3 and is also the key ingredient in horticulture lime which raises and acts as a buffering agent that helps to stabilize ph levels. Calcium aids in the plants cell wall structure and overall plant strength. Calcium helps in transport and retention of other minerals and elements and is presumed to counteract the effects of naturally occurring alkali salts and organic acids within a plant.

Calcium nitrate

Calcium nitrate: also called Norgessalpeter contains ammonium nitrate and water creating the chemical formula 5Ca(NO3)2.NH4NO3.10H2O for use in hydroponic and soil gardening. Calcium nitrate contains a very small amount of nitrogen making it a perfect formula for an indoor/outdoor gardening supplement for all stages of growth. Calcium aids in the plants cell wall structure and overall plant strength. Calcium helps in transport and retention of other minerals and elements and is presumed to counteract the effects of naturally occurring alkali salts and organic acids within a plant.

Capacitor

Capacitor: An electronic device that can store electrical charge. The capacitor is one of the main components of an HID lighting ballast. Because they can store a very strong electrical charge, capacitors can be very dangerous to someone who is unaware of this fact and opens a ballast in order to examine or repair it. If one does not know how to safely discharge the stored electricity, one should allow a trained technician to do any ballast repairs.
