Candlepower (CP)
Candlepower (CP): The luminous intensity of a light source, as expressed in candelas.
Candlepower (CP): The luminous intensity of a light source, as expressed in candelas.
Candela (CD): A unit of luminous intensity in a given direction, equal to one lumen per steradian.
Calcium aids in the plants cell wall structure and overall plant strength. Calcium helps in transport and retention of other minerals and elements and is presumed to counteract the effects of naturally occurring alkali salts and organic acids within a plant.
Calcium nitrate: also called Norgessalpeter contains ammonium nitrate and water creating the chemical formula 5Ca(NO3)2.NH4NO3.10H2O for use in hydroponic and soil gardening. Calcium nitrate contains a very small amount of nitrogen making it a perfect formula for an indoor/outdoor gardening supplement for all stages of growth. Calcium aids in the plants cell wall structure and overall plant strength. Calcium helps in transport and retention of other minerals and elements and is presumed to counteract the effects of naturally occurring alkali salts and organic acids within a plant.
Calcium carbonate: has the chemical formula CaCO3 and is also the key ingredient in horticulture lime which raises and acts as a buffering agent that helps to stabilize ph levels. Calcium aids in the plants cell wall structure and overall plant strength. Calcium helps in transport and retention of other minerals and elements and is presumed to counteract the effects of naturally occurring alkali salts and organic acids within a plant.
Burn: Leaf tips that turn dark from excess fertilizer and salt burn.
Bulb: The glass outer envelope component of an HID lamp which protects the arc tube.
Bulb Wall Temperature: The temperature at the bulb wall of a lamp, which effects lumen output and input wattage and which is important in lighting calculations.
BU: An industry code indicating that the bulb is to be operated only in a base up position.
Boron: is an essential non-metal micro nutrient for plants aiding in the metabolism of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and copper. Also works with production of sugar and carbohydrates.
