Ask-a-Grower Question #3

When using neem oil bugs are off the plant but still in the soil? What do you do? When flushing, should you use clean purified water or just hose water?

So you have spider mites in your soil and you want to send them packing correct?  Try a soil drench using neem oil.  Just add a little neem oil every time you feed your plants.  If the little buggers are still around after your soil drenching try spraying them water diluted apple juice concentrate. One part water and one part apple juice concentrate put into a spray bottle. It’s harmless to the plants and the apple juice will melt the spider mites.  Flush your plants with clean water 3-7 days prior to harvest.
